I say NO!...you mean YES?
Everytime I go to school, I always witness how this big NO becomes a YES to the commuters. Honestly, I used to smile everytime I pass by it because I never thought that I also stood under this "NO LOADING and UNLOADING" sign, waiting for the jeepney to arrive (haha!).
Well, this matter may seem to be funny (since not taken seriously) but it is really disappointing I believe.
With this seemingly "small foul" comes a valid conclusion (I believe) that there are people who used to ignore such stress and hassle-free orders like this. Worse, this "NO" sign is just few steps away from the traffic enforcer but some people are really insensitive. Here, self discipline seems lacking on some. People tend to ignore orders (even those which are considered small and simple) that eventually injure others as well as the community itself.
This scenario happens everyday not only in Los BaƱos (where the picture was taken) but also in other parts of the country -a discouraging fact.
On the lighter side of it, some public vehicle drivers refuse to load and unload commuters on those "NO" signs but lead them to the right loading and unloading area. Yes, discipline is really lacking on some but it is obviously present on others.
Self discipline is needed for development. Discipline results to orderliness and at the same time, it promotes hope. As long as people possess self discipline, they are more likely to think of others. As long as people think of others, they are more likely to be responsible. As long as people are responsible, they are more likely to hope.
This simple photo might be considered as a usual photo which everyone see but this simple thing I know, make sense.
Everything big started in a bit. If we can't follow a simple order like this, how much more to those serious ones?
Now it says NO!...I agree it's a NO-NO!!!

BRIEF ANALYSIS ON ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND STABILITY-Charle David M. Bautista
Let’s just look at the example of the United States of America. It is a country of high standard and authority over nations.
But now, they’re experiencing critical situation that causes them great problems. Because of terrorist attack on world trade center in New York last September 2001, there came a great shaking in their economy, that even the US Dollar exchange in the world market was affected.
Eventually, this problem also affected other nations’ status specially the Philippines, because until now, we are still under the influence of the US government. Because of that, the poor state in the country brought a change into a more poorer state. Our economy also fell down that caused the increase of prices in wet and dry goods. Then what will be the next thing to happen to us? If the US and many stable and great countries in Europe are experiencing those entropies, what else may happen to little countries like the Philippines? We can now say that, “It is God who only knows the future.”
As I have read from the newspaper and heard from my mother’s friend, the leaders of the United States of America and leading countries in Europe is having an Assembly meeting that will be about the economic crisis that the world is having right now. How they can find a solution to this unrelenting dilemma that faces and affects each and everyone of us today.
That meeting also depends, who will be the next leader and president of the United States. That will decide what to do, to solve US’s problems in debts and economy. The country of US is facing a great dilemma right now because of their huge debts in the World Bank and their payments to the countries affected of the war before. They have nowhere to go, and this is the burden that the next leader of US is going to carry and solve to. And our country, the Philippines,
as a country that is still under the influence of U.S., is greatly affected of these burdens. Our country’s state right now is getting worst. Many Filipinos are just going outside the country to find and get better jobs and salaries that might help their families here in the Philippines. This process is just in a cyclic picture that is caused by the economic crisis that our country is experiencing.
It is not just Europe, US, and the Philippines that experience these shaking, but also the whole world. Now, what will our leader, and leaders of great nations do in order to alleviate this crisis that results in poverty and chaos? What will be their solution to these world problems in food and health? And what will be their step that they will do next, to change our critical state into a better state?
In spite of all those dilemma, let’s just be thankful because there is a God who holds everything in his own hands. That there is Someone who loves us, and makes us still even though there are lots of problems in our world nowadays.
And I believe, that there will always be a right time that our beloved Philippines will surpass the economic crises that we are experiencing now. But is should start with our character and attitudes first. If righteousness will rule every person’s life, and all the people of the country, it will be the way that our nation will be exalted. And it will experience great economic recovery and prosperity, if and only if, God will be exalted first. Our nation will rise again someday, but righteousness first, needs to take place!
